South Korea motorhome planning should focus on official campsites, expressway tolls, dense-city parking, ferry or customs checks for foreign vehicles, recognised licence documents and monsoon or winter disruption.
Use registered campsites, auto-camping grounds, KNPS reservation sites, private permission or paid parking that clearly allows overnight stays.
Expressway tolls, Hi-Pass compatibility, bridges, tunnels, ferries, paid parking and campsite fees should be part of the route budget. There is no simple visitor sticker that makes a large camper city-friendly: Seoul, Busan and other dense areas need parking, height and access checks.
Malaysia
Malaysia is practical for motorhomes only when foreign-vehicle registration, Road Charge/VEP, toll payment, national-park or forest permits, ferries and monsoon timing are planned before arrival.
Campsites and recreation sites are useful but may not be motorhome-specific, so confirm vehicle access, water, power, waste, security and opening status.
Use campsites, resorts, private permission, national-park facilities or official recreation sites; do not assume free roadside or beach camping is accepted.
Foreign-registered vehicles entering Peninsular Malaysia need JPJ VEP/Road Charge checks in addition to normal highway tolls. City traffic, parking height, ferry ramps, mountain roads and protected-area access can be bigger constraints than distance.

- Use park-and-ride, campsite bases or edge parking for dense city centres unless a suitable lot is confirmed.
- Check local restrictions around national parks, beaches, ports, tunnels, covered car parks and residential streets.

City traffic, parking height, ferry ramps, mountain roads and protected-area access can be bigger constraints than distance.
- Use edge parking or hosted stays for Kuala Lumpur, George Town, Melaka, Johor Bahru and resort islands unless a suitable space is confirmed.
- Check state-specific rules for beaches, forest roads, highland routes and national parks before driving a large camper in.
