Country rules

Germany

Germany is friendly to motorhome touring when you use signed Stellplaetze, campsites and normal legal parking. Wild camping is broadly restricted, and city access can depend on environmental stickers.

AllowedCampsites and Stellplaetze

Germany has a dense network of campsites and dedicated motorhome stopovers, often with paid electricity, water and waste disposal.

Do not assumeOvernight parking and wild camping

Treat an overnight roadside stop as parking, not camping: keep awnings, chairs, steps and leveling gear inside the vehicle footprint unless a site explicitly allows them.

CheckCheck before entry

Private leisure motorhomes are normally outside Germany's truck toll system, but heavy or goods-use vehicles need a closer check before travel. Many German low-emission zones require a valid environmental sticker, and foreign vehicles may need to apply before entering.

Country rules

Peru

Peru motorhome trips need border and altitude planning: temporary vehicle entry, SOAT insurance, foreign-driver rules, protected-area tickets, rainy-season roads and steep Andean routes all matter.

AllowedServices, altitude and security

Plan reliable water, waste, parking security and altitude acclimatisation before moving between the coast, Andes and jungle approaches.

Do not assumeOvernight parking and wild camping

Use campings, hospedajes with secure parking, private permission or authorised protected-area sites rather than assuming roadside camping is allowed.

CheckCheck before entry

Route budgets should include SOAT insurance, protected-area tickets, paid parking, tolls where present and SUNAT temporary-vehicle paperwork. There is no simple national low-emission sticker for touring motorhomes, but city traffic, parking security, archaeological zones and protected landscapes create access limits.

Seasonal and winter

Winter travel is common, but alpine routes, campsites and service points can close or require winter-ready tyres and equipment.

  • Check road status before crossing the Alps or low mountain regions after snow or freezing rain.
  • Book Christmas, ski-season and summer holiday campsites early; popular regions fill quickly.

2026年6月05日Peru

Peru's main motorhome risks are altitude, steep roads, rainy-season landslides, desert heat, river crossings and long stretches without services.

  • Check road and weather conditions before high Andean passes, Cusco-region detours, canyon roads and jungle-edge routes.
  • Plan conservative daily distances because altitude, slow trucks, switchbacks and road works can make short map distances slow.
