The Q1 2026 RV Market Brand Consideration Report from Retain Media reveals important trends in the Australian recreational vehicle market, based on over 2.7 million search queries collected throughout the quarter. This analysis highlights how consumer interest has shifted among various RV brands.
Jayco has strengthened its leadership position in the caravan market, increasing its market share to 23.6% after a year of minor fluctuations. Meanwhile, other brands like Opus Camper, Lifestyle Campers, and Patriot Campers have also shown notable progress. Opus Camper, specifically, has increased its market share to 3.5%, continuing a growth trend that has been underway for several quarters.
The report indicates that despite negative global events impacting overall RV sales and touring in Q1 2026, consumer intent remains strong, with many RV enthusiasts planning to continue their adventures. Fuel prices have shown signs of stabilization, contributing to market confidence amongst Australian caravan and RV shoppers.
Other noteworthy observations include Lifestyle Campers making a comeback to 2.8% and Patriot Campers rising steadily from 1.2% to 1.5%. However, Zone RV experienced the sharpest decline, indicating a market correction rather than a collapse.
As the sector heads into Q2, attention will likely turn to Opus Camper, which has exhibited four consecutive quarters of growth, suggesting it could be poised for a more prominent position among the top brands.
