At the age of 26, Bastien made the radical decision to leave everything behind: his studies, jobs in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and his small businesses. After experiencing burnout, he felt a strong need for a life change. His quest for adventure led him to drive along the Silk Road in a 4x4 fire truck.

Originally from the Bouches-du-Rhône region, Bastien explains that his love for road trips is rooted in his childhood, when he traveled with his parents through Morocco and Tunisia. Following a few trips in a Twingo, he decided that for an extended adventure, a van would be the best mode of transport. He chose to head towards Central Asia, attracted by a personal calling.

The initial version of his project faced challenges. After purchasing a 1990 Renault Trafic, which he attempted to convert, he found that the vehicle was in poor condition. The disillusionment was strong, but he managed to take action against the seller. After this incident, Bastien resumed his search to find the ideal van.

His dream came true when he found an Iveco 4x4 near his home. Despite strong competition, he successfully purchased the vehicle after a day spent negotiating. The truck, although requiring some repairs, was sturdy and ready for adventure. Bastien is now set to explore the landscapes of Central Asia.

He shares his journey on his YouTube channel.
