EarthCruiser has commenced dealer deliveries of its MOD slide-in truck camper while also progressing the Terranova model towards scaled manufacturing. This marks an important milestone in the company’s nearly decade-long journey.

The MOD, which evolved from EarthCruiser’s first composite truck camper platform introduced in 2017, incorporates innovative lightweight engineering and a truck-first adventure travel approach.

During its development, EarthCruiser noted significant changes in the market, particularly with the advent of technologies that now shape modern overland travel, such as lithium power systems and efficient climate control. The company has built strong relationships with its customers by selling directly to them, providing hands-on delivery and training, and gathering feedback that has guided its product development.

Interestingly, many new customers migrating from tents or vans have shown an increasing preference for truck-based platforms, to support both daily utility and weekend excursions. During the Terranova program's direct-to-consumer phase, approximately 70% of its customers had previously owned a van, indicating a shift towards products that offer greater payload capacity and usability.

Traditional RV owners are also diversifying into adventure travel options as they seek higher quality and durability.

Founder Lance Gillies emphasizes that the customer experience has dictated the design of both MOD and Terranova, which aim to merge real adventure capabilities with everyday practicality. The MOD model is designed for durability and simplicity while allowing owners to utilize their existing pickup design.

Terranova, now advancing toward large-scale production, draws from nearly 20 years of experience in creating expedition vehicles. EarthCruiser has dedicated significant time to refining its manufacturing processes, ensuring that it meets the quality expectations set by the market.

The company asserts that its future truck camper models will significantly enhance integration with the trustworthy vehicles that consumers rely on daily.
