The new sporting challenge of Hervé Barmasse, a renowned Valdostan mountaineer, has officially begun. He is embarking on an unprecedented endeavor called the Endurance Italia project. This extraordinary adventure combines three high-level disciplines: mountaineering, cycling, and trail running, with an itinerary covering over 6,000 kilometers and 90,000 meters of positive elevation gain in just 30 days.
Barmasse is joined by renowned navigator Giovanni Soldini for the maritime legs between islands and the mainland. Sponsored by the Italian Alpine Club, the tour starts in Cala Gonone, Sardinia, and finishes in Trieste, making sure to scale the highest peaks of each of Italy's 20 regions either by foot or by bike.
