Grand Design RV is set to ship its new Lineage Series E motorhome to dealership lots by mid-July. This gas Type C motorhome is built on the Ford E-450 chassis and aims to combine premium comfort with practical functionality, according to Mike Hums, Grand Design's Product Manager of Type C Motorhomes.

Hums highlighted the opportunity to incorporate Grand Design's signature premium design, storage capacity, and owner-focused features into this Class C platform. The goal was to create a more comfortable ownership experience, featuring a spacious floorplan, a king bed, superior ride quality, and ample storage solutions.

The Series E marks Grand Design’s fifth entry into motorized vehicles, complementing its existing offerings which include Series M diesel, Series F Super C, Series VP Type B motorhome, and Series VT adventure van. The flagship 30DC floorplan of the Series E includes features such as powered theater seating and a booth dinette in an off-door slide out.

Equipped with a 3-liter V8 gas engine providing 325 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, the Series E also boasts class-leading exterior storage capacity and premium full-body paint options. Grand Design ensures a two-year limited warranty and a three-year structural warranty for this new motorhome.

The interior design emphasizes residential-inspired storage, while the kitchen comes equipped with a two-burner induction cooktop, a 12-volt refrigerator, and a microwave. Owners will also find prep space for a washer and dryer in the bedroom. Grand Design’s focus is on reducing travel logistics so that owners can enjoy the open road more fully.
