La Clairière, located between Sarlat and Rocamadour, is a campsite that emphasizes tranquility, space, and a deep respect for the environment. With an extensive 10-hectare area, the site offers 70 well-spaced pitches, of which 46 are bare. Aurore and Florian, the managers, aim to create an eco-friendly vacation spot, away from the hustle of civilization.

Aurore points out that despite its remote location, popular destinations like Sarlat and Rocamadour are just 25 kilometers away. The new owners moved to the Dordogne valley in 2021, seeking to connect more with nature and give meaning to their professional endeavors.

The campsite is mainly pedestrian, but it allows vans with designated pitches at the entrance. Access is through a forest path to maintain the natural ambiance. La Clairière also offers wooden chalets and forest pitches, which are inaccessible to vehicles.

The site features amenities such as a heated swimming pool, dining facilities during the high season, and various calm activities, including nature workshops and yoga. Aurore states that the campsite is classified as an eco-site, with ecological initiatives like solar panels and dry toilets. La Clairière is also certified with the Green Key.

Prices range from €24 to €32 per night for two people with electricity, with additional fees for the tourist tax. Guests can expect a peaceful experience, away from noisy entertainment and crowded campsites.
