The Italian manufacturer Laika will expand its campervan lineup with the new Laika Ecovip Performance for the 2027 model year. This campervan emphasizes comprehensive standard features and modern connectivity, with four different design editions available.
With the redesign of the campervan program, the previous Kosmo series is now a thing of the past; moving forward, only the premium Ecovip models will be offered. The entry point is the new Laika Ecovip Evoluzione. The Ecovip Performance builds on the legacy of the popular Ecovip series and is set to elevate the experience to a new level, according to the company.
The new Ecovip Performance is available in floor plans 540, 600, and 645, all based on the Fiat Ducato 35 Light. These models are standard equipped with a powerful 160 HP heavy-duty engine and an automatic transmission. The world premiere will take place in 2026 at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf.
For individual design, Laika offers four design worlds: Grigio Torino, Bianco Cortina, Azzurro Portofino, and Grigio Napoli. Each edition combines a specific exterior color with unique graphic elements and matching 18-inch alloy wheels, along with eco-leather upholstery. Another focus of the new series is all-year usability, supported by advanced insulation materials.
In addition to the extensive standard equipment, features include a 6 kW combi diesel heating system, a 150 Ah lithium battery, a rearview camera, and a 9-inch Pioneer infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new modular bathroom concept in the Ecovip Performance 540 can be used flexibly, providing comfortable access and additional storage space.
This new series targets campers who want comprehensive amenities combined with a sporty design.
