Mammoth Overland has introduced its latest model, the Xtinction-Level Escape (XLE) trailer, claiming it is the most capable off-road trailer the brand has developed to date. This new trailer offers a range of unique features, including bulletproof windows, a pressurized cabin, and advanced defense systems, positioning it as a mobile operations center for outdoor enthusiasts.
The XLE trailer is constructed on Mammoth Overland's 9-foot Tall Boy (TL) platform, providing 22 inches of ground clearance. According to Scott Taylor, President of Mammoth Overland, the XLE combines the spaciousness of the TL with the survivalist design of their Extinction Level Event (ELE) trailer, resulting in a basecamp suitable for extended outdoor excursions while being resilient against various threats.
Among its standout features, the XLE includes a 360-degree night-vision closed-circuit TV system, a remotely activated sonic defense mechanism, and a 37-millimeter flare launcher. The trailer also houses a 1,200-amp-hour lithium battery system powered by a 400-watt solar array. These power supply capabilities make it self-sufficient for off-grid camping.
Further enhancements include dual medical-grade HEPA air filtration and a robust locking mechanism on the reinforced rear vault door, ensuring occupants remain safe in all conditions. Additional amenities include Starlink internet connectivity, a 12-volt air conditioning system, and various survival tools such as a HAM radio and weather station.
Mammoth Overland envisions the XLE trailer as suitable not just for sleeping, but for conducting various operations in the great outdoors. The XLE's design goes beyond conventional expectations, offering a formidable solution for RV owners, campervan travelers, and overlanders seeking a secure and capable basecamp.
