Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) has introduced an overhaul of the Multivan and California. The facelift brings a new front design along with an updated cockpit. Additionally, there are new technical highlights and, as expected, new prices.

The revamped Multivan and the various California models – Beach, Coast, and Ocean – can now be ordered with the new designs and assistance systems. Prices start at €57,465 for the Multivan and €66,087 for the California Beach, reflecting an increase compared to the 2024 model launch.

The new design features a distinct separation between the bumpers and the grille, enhancing the vehicle's wide appearance. LED headlights now have a new light signature that replaces the previous design elements. VWN promises improved light output and greater safety through enhanced light beams and base headlight features.

In addition to aesthetic changes, the facelift also offers practical improvements such as a grab handle on the passenger side that makes entering and exiting easier, as well as an enhanced stand climate control system. This system can now operate for up to eight hours in the California eHybrid 4MOTION, allowing for comfortable climate control while parked or camping.

While the basic equipment remains largely unchanged, there is support from a new emergency system and automated traffic light recognition. An optimized infotainment system with a larger touch display and improved interfaces completes the update, introducing innovative features to the well-established California series.
