Rossmönster, a Colorado-based manufacturer of adventure trucks and vans, has introduced its all-new Loft, which is a molded-body Class B vehicle aimed at providing enhanced living space on a popular chassis. This venture marks a significant milestone as it is the first American-made, molded-body 144-inch Sprinter specifically designed for serious adventure travel.
The Loft is set to make its debut at the Overland Expo Pacific Northwest.
Built on a Mercedes-Benz 3500 AWD chassis, the Loft features a vacuum-infused camper shell that enhances both maneuverability and interior comfort. This enables it to offer the spaciousness akin to larger motorhomes while retaining the versatility to adapt its layout for different travel needs.
One of its standout features is a queen-size elevator bed that can lift to create an expansive living area, which can also transform into a second bed or a full-width garage.
The Loft's design integrates clever elements, including triple rear hatches that provide optimal accessibility and a shower that doubles as a mudroom, keeping wet gear outside the main living space. Luke Farny, co-founder and CEO of Rossmönster, highlighted the engineering challenges involved in maximizing space functionality without complicating the design, stating that their team accomplished this seamlessly.
The interior is crafted with modern design elements typical of Rossmönster’s creations, including white oak cabinetry and four-season insulation, complemented by essential travel systems such as hydronic heating, a full wet bath, and induction cooking facilities.
The Loft is equipped with a robust energy system comprising a 1,000Ah lithium battery capacity and a 440-watt solar array, ensuring self-sufficiency during off-grid adventures.
Adventure-ready features come standard, including an adjustable suspension upgrade and provisions for storage, simplifying the logistics of travel. Attendees at the Overland Expo PNW will have the opportunity to view the Loft up close prior to its initial deliveries. Interested customers can reserve the Loft, which starts at $284,987, through the Rossmönster website or through its authorized dealer network.
