Rossmonster, a Colorado-based adventure vehicle builder, has unveiled its new Loft model, claiming it to be the first American-made, molded-body Type B adventure vehicle. Built on a Mercedes-Benz 3500 all-wheel drive chassis, the Loft is designed specifically for serious adventure travel and features a vacuum-infused camper shell, four-season insulation, and hydronic heating.
The Loft optimizes space with a queen-size elevator bed that lifts to open a living area, which doubles as a dinette. This dinette can be converted into a second bed or expanded to reveal a full-width garage that opens to the vehicle's full height. Rossmonster co-founder and CEO Luke Farny emphasized the challenges of creating multifunctional spaces without complicating the design.
Externally, the Loft is equipped with an adjustable suspension upgrade, super single wheel conversion, exterior storage cabinets, rear MOLLE panels, and provisions for Starlink wiring. According to the company, the vacuum-infused shell enhances interior volume while providing superior insulation. Rossmonster describes the Loft as a versatile vehicle accommodating multiple functions without sacrificing comfort.
The vehicle's interior features luxurious white oak cabinetry, a full wet bath, induction cooking, and a 130-liter refrigerator/freezer. Its energy system comprises a significant 1,000 amp-hour lithium battery capacity, a 440-watt walkable solar array, a 3,000-watt inverter, and a digital control panel, making it suitable for extended off-grid travel.
The Loft will make its first public appearance at Overland Expo Pacific Northwest.
