During its recent Dealer Summit in Indianapolis, Terex’s Recreational Vehicles segment revealed its model year 2027 (MY27) lineup. This showcases new connectivity features, off-grid capabilities, and luxury travel enhancements across its brands, including American Coach, Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler, and Renegade RV.
The event also marked the debut of the Renegade Explorer TS, a Class 8 Super C coach designed to add to Renegade RV’s heavy-duty luxury offerings.
The MY27 models feature significant enhancements including larger lithium battery systems, increased inverter capacities, upgraded solar packages, and available factory-installed Starlink systems on select Fleetwood and Holiday Rambler coaches.
Gary Gunter, president of Terex RV Segment, emphasized that these new features reflect the changing expectations of customers, balancing modern connectivity with the comfort and durability RV owners seek.
The Renegade Explorer TS is built on the Freightliner Cascadia 116 chassis and includes a second powered rear axle for improved carrying capacity, towing ability, and stability. Standard features of the Explorer TS include three air conditioning units, Aqua-Hot 450D hydronic heating, a scalable lithium battery system, a solar package, and a recordable 360-degree camera system.
An optional cab-over bunk configuration is also available for enhanced sleeping capacity.
Victor Quezada, Renegade RV product manager, stated that the Explorer TS was developed to meet customer demands for greater capability in a luxury Super C platform. He highlighted the coach's increased capacity, advanced climate control, and power systems, all designed for extended travel without compromise.
The MY27 lineup also enhances drivability and safety with upgraded visibility technologies and improved interior designs that lean towards a more residential feel. American Coach reveals premium audio systems and heated tile flooring, while Renegade offers upgraded materials and integrated storage solutions. With dealer orders now open, retail availability is anticipated later this year.
