Travel Crafter, a camper van outfitter, made waves at the Vanlife Expo Grenoble 2026 with the debut of a van specifically tailored for families. This vehicle, featuring bunk beds and a pop-up roof, was developed without prior customer orders, aiming to meet the needs of a family with two children.
Aurélien Masson, founder of Travel Crafter, shared that the design was created from a blank slate. The model received positive feedback at the expo, with several visitors expressing interest in this innovative approach. The showcased vehicle is based on a 2024 Citroën Jumper L3H2, capable of sleeping and accommodating up to four people for travel.
The interior design showcases warm materials, utilizing solid wood instead of laminate to create a welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop and a 90-liter refrigerator, while ensuring ample workspace. Travel Crafter also paid attention to details, such as the choice of slats for the ceiling, which vary in direction to create a distinct visual effect.
Regarding the bathroom, the model includes a shower but no sink, integrating portable toilets in response to the growing demand from customers wanting to maximize storage space. With a total permissible weight of 4.25 tons, this van stands out for its robust construction while remaining compatible with a standard driving license.
Travel Crafter continues to receive orders and plans new adaptations of its design based on individual customer preferences.
