A couple from Caxias do Sul, in the Serra Gaúcha region, is preparing for a motorhome expedition that will take them from the southern tip of Argentina to Alaska in the United States. Rafael Busatto and Sana Vargas have already traveled through 19 Brazilian states and now wish to broaden their horizons, starting in Ushuaia, Argentina, and making their way north to Alaska.
The new journey will begin in Paraguay, a modification to their original plan meant to avoid the extreme cold of the southern continent. According to their plans, after crossing Paraguay, the couple will head to Ushuaia and then to the Panama Canal, where their van will be shipped to Mexico before continuing by road to Alaska.
Rafael and Sana, who exchanged a conventional life for the road nearly three years ago, have customized a van named "Belezinha" for living and traveling. To sustain their nomadic lifestyle, they work in digital marketing and create content for their social media, documenting their adventures on the profile "Saí Viajando."
One special highlight of this journey is their cat Pantufa, who has adapted perfectly to the traveling life. Rafael mentions that they have prepared a special space for her in the van, making every stop feel like a new home. "When we turn off the car and step inside, we feel at home," Rafael shares.
With extensive experience of over 17,000 kilometers traveled throughout Brazil, they are optimistic about this new stage in their lives. According to Rafael, their experience in Brazil was a success, and now they are excited to begin their grand international adventure.
