Sales statistics indicate a cautious yet positive trend in Norway’s RV market as new registrations increase in the first half of the year. As of June 30, the total number of registered RVs in Norway stood at 67,362. During this period, 836 new RVs were registered, reflecting an approximate 6% increase compared to the same timeframe last year.
Adria has emerged as the leading brand in new registrations with 110 units sold, significantly ahead of its competitors. Dethleffs follows with 59 units, while other brands such as Challenger, Bürstner, Knaus, and Hymer also reported notable sales figures. The presence of new emissions regulations earlier this year resulted in some RVs being preemptively registered, impacting inventory levels at dealerships.
While new RV sales are on the rise, the turnover of used RVs remains stable with 6,304 units changing ownership in the first half of the year. Among these, popular brands include Dethleffs, Hymer, Bürstner, and Challenger. However, private imports of RVs have seen a significant decline, with only 72 units imported, marking a decrease of about 50% compared to the previous year.
Hymer continues to hold the title of Norway's most popular RV brand, with 6,531 registered units, followed closely by Bürstner and Dethleffs. Other brands in the top ten include Challenger, Adria, Rapido, and Knaus, reflecting a diverse market preference. The overall trends suggest a recovering interest in RV purchases, contributing positively to the industry’s outlook.
