In Matsubara, Ehime Prefecture, Japan, the newly launched hot spring 'Teiregi no Yu' is offering a free overnight car camping service for travelers. This initiative is designed to cater to car tourists seeking a place to rest after long journeys.
The service gained significant popularity during Golden Week, a peak travel time in Japan, attracting numerous tourists to the area. 'Teiregi no Yu' features a hot spring that naturally springs from a depth of 1,200 meters, enhancing the experience for visitors.
Guests at the facility can also enjoy sauna access and self-service amenities, including massages. The opening of this service has been welcomed by RV and campervan owners, who often find it challenging to locate comfortable overnight stops.
Operating hours for 'Teiregi no Yu' are from 6 AM to midnight, providing added convenience for travelers. This initiative reflects the growing interest in car tourism in Japan and may inspire similar projects in other regions of the country.
