In 2027, Pilote motorhomes adopt a new body style that starkly contrasts with the rounded designs of previous seasons. This design change is seen as a fresh start for the Nantes-based manufacturer, aiming to enhance the aesthetics and comfort of their campers.
The new front design is already making waves in the motorhome industry, drawing comparisons to iconic vehicles like the Bedford and Type H. The angular lines of the new front, inspired by modern automotive design including the Range Rover, signify a turning point in Pilote’s design philosophy. Additionally, the rear has been revamped to create a cohesive look across the vehicle.
After two years of research and development, Pilote has moved away from the old aesthetic that dates back to 2016, successfully asserting its own identity in an increasingly competitive market. The common front design shared by Pilote and Bavaria models also emphasizes a continuity of style with those in the Le Voyageur range.
Among the new offerings for 2027, there are eight models based on the Fiat Ducato chassis and four on the Al-ko platform, ranging from 7.11 m to 7.97 m in length. The G690D, the shortest model in the lineup, also receives an interior redesign aimed at increasing storage capacity and optimizing space. Changes include a slightly reduced kitchen and an enlarged storage compartment by 25%.
Pilote motorhomes will come equipped with new comfort technologies, such as high-performance compression refrigerators and hybrid heating, thereby reducing gas consumption. Optional upgrades allow users to enhance their electrical autonomy with Lithium batteries and solar panels.
The engine choices include a return of the 2.2 L 160 hp option for improved driving comfort. These design and equipment advancements are also reflected in Bavaria, Pilote’s sister brand, confirming similar trends in the market.
