During RVs Move America Week, the RV Industry Association (RVIA) awarded U.S. Representatives Rudy Yakym of Indiana and Dina Titus of Nevada with its National Legislative Award. This honor acknowledges their efforts in promoting the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act, a significant piece of legislation that received bipartisan support and was signed into law.

Yakym, who took office in 2022, initially introduced the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act during the 118th Congress. This legislation aimed to amend the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, enabling RV dealers to fully deduct interest on floor plan financing for various RVs, including non-motorized towable trailers.

Although the bill was introduced and referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means in 2023, it did not progress at that time.

In January 2025, after securing a position on the House Ways and Means Committee, Yakym reintroduced the measure with Titus's support. They worked diligently to garner bipartisan support, resulting in the bill passing through the House of Representatives and being incorporated into the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. President Donald Trump subsequently signed the legislation into law on July 4, 2025.

The RVIA highlighted the measure's benefits for RV dealers and manufacturers across the country. Yakym commented on the significance of the award, stating, "I don't do this job for awards.

But when I receive one, I want it to mean something, and the National Legislative Award certainly does." Titus, who co-chairs the House RV Caucus, also emphasized her commitment to facilitating RV access for families and tourists, allowing them to better enjoy the natural landscapes of the nation.

Both lawmakers expressed their dedication to the RV industry, showcasing their roles in advancing policies aimed at strengthening the sector and ensuring its competitiveness within the broader recreation economy. "It was an honor to receive this year’s National Legislative Award from the RV Industry Association," Titus remarked, underlining her efforts to enhance access to RV travel for constituents.
